About the event
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to Shale Gas and Public Health: Translating Science into Policy, a public health summit hosted by the Environmental Health Project (EHP).
The summit will take place virtually on February 22, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The summit will feature speakers in four key areas: endocrine disruption, child health and development, health economics, and environmental justice. Speakers will include, respectively, Dr. Linda Birnbaum (National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences), Dr. Élyse Caron-Beaudoin (University of Toronto Scarborough), Dr. Nicholas Muller (Carnegie Mellon University), and Rev. Dr. Gregory Simpson (Nauraushaun Presbyterian Church).
After a morning plenary session to frame the various issues, attendees will participate in a breakout group discussion on one of the four primary topics: endocrine disruption, child health and development, health economics, or environmental justice. The summit will close with a panel discussion to highlight relevant insights, recommendations, and further questions to be answered.
Thank you for your partnership with EHP and your commitment to public health. We look forward to seeing you at the event.
